March 25-30 Anaheim

Our grandson’s middle school band was performing at Disneyland. As this was his first year to go, we really wanted to be there too, so we reserved Dolphin’s Cove with our Wyndham points and met our son Andy who served as a band chaperone and grandson Clayton there. The band played and then we got to enjoy Disneyland for 2 days with Clayton.

March, 2009 Weston Florida, then Ohio

We had left our car with our good friend Buzz in Daytona Beach while we were in Mexico, so we picked it up and drove to Weston, staying at the Vacation Village at Bonaventure for 2 weeks, both RCI exchanges. We loved it there; the weather was great, we were on the 5th floor so had a good view, the pool was close, and we enjoyed attending the local church and getting together with the “senior” group. We said, “How about staying here?” Ron said, “But I want the BEACH!” Oh yeah, that’s right!

We then drove to Ohio, stopping at the Wyndham at Smoky Mountains on the way, arriving March 15th, so that Joan could prepare a report for Yellow Springs High School, which she does every year. Also, we need to catch up on doctors’ appointments, etc. But it was COLD! We may not go back this early next year! We left our car with our friend Quinn in Xenia and flew to Seattle on March 21st, to visit Joan’s mother and also to be there for her dad’s 92nd birthday on the 24th.
