St Augustine for a Week after our Busy Seattle May = Do Nothing!

We flew out of Seattle on the red eye last Sunday night and barely made it to St Augustine from Daytona Beach (a simple 1 hour drive), we were so tired.   We had left our van at the St Augustine resort and rented a car one-way from the Daytona airport.  It really worked out well both ways, (except for being so tired on Monday morning!)  We were in Recovery Mode Monday, didn’t even go to grocery store.  We had enough canned goods left in the van to make soup.  And we had brought cheese and tacos for quesadillas in the cooler in the checked baggage, plus bringing stuff for Ron’s breakfast that morning at the airport layover in Atlanta.
Tropical Storm Beryl had gone through Sunday night and done quite a bit of damage.  Monday we were in the eye (55 miles wide, apparently) so there wasn’t much rain after all, and temperatures in the 80s.  But the rest of the week, it rained every day!  We didn’t even go walking, or to the beach and didn’t go swimming (there is an indoor pool there) because we just didn’t feel good.  We actually slept most of the time.  We were just worn out.
Then, the car wouldn’t run Thursday …it was the battery at first.  Ron had forgotten to unhook it, as we usually do when we will be gone for months, when we left, so it was totally dead.  We had jumped it from the rental car so it was fine Tuesday, and we were able to run errands to the grocery store, etc.  Then Wednesday, we didn’t go anywhere, and Thursday it wouldn't start.  A friend jumped us (in the pouring rain) and then it stalled again. We called  AAA and they tried to jump it Thursday night, but no.  So they towed it Friday morning to a shop and it was the alternator plus a new battery (with the warranty credit  since it was only 2 years old.)  The repair shop even had a loaner car so Ron could go back and forth to the shop.
Saturday we felt better and also the weather was finally nice so we were able to visit
Ron’s cousin, Joy, in Palm Coast after we picked up the car from the shop.
Tomorrow we pack up to leave for Atlanta, staying at the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Plantation in Villa Rica for 5 days; then Friday, we will leave for Branson, stopping in Memphis one night (with Choice hotel points).
