To Washington DC for NOBC June 10, 2010

We flew to DC for the last convention of the National Order of Battlefield Commissions, an organization that Ron’s dad was a member of, since he had received a commission in the Army when he was in WWII in Italy (Anzio landing). Most of the members are quite old and unable to attend the conventions any more so they are having to close. However, as they were known as the “Mustangs” the organization for their descendants is known as the “Mustang Ponies” and Ron has been associated with it for many years and served also as president. We will continue to meet and celebrate these heroes’ lives, our motto being “We Shall Never Forget.” The website is http://www.mustangponies.org/. Anyone interested is invited to join. (Ron's brother Merlyn also attended, he being both a "Mustang" and a "Pony", as he received a direct commission in Vietnam.)

Clayton’s School Concert June 2010

We enjoyed hearing Clayton’s band concert. He played trombone in the Jazz Band and tuba in the band.

We also got to go to the Pacific NW Ballet thanks to Winnie, who was playing in the pit orchestra. It was beautiful.
