We flew the redeye back to MSP so that we could drive to Rochester and visit with Ron’s 97-year old Aunt Velva who lives in the Charter House, attached to the Mayo clinic. The plan was to be with her on Ron’s birthday (the 25th.)

July 4th in Bayfield on Lake Superior!
The night of July 4th was not available at Telemark and we already had the week of July 5th reserved for our owned week out at the Pointe, so we went to Bayfield for the night, staying at Greunke’s, an historic guesthouse since 1865.
It was right downtown so we could walk to the lakeside park and see the fireworks that night. We returned to Telemark Pointe the next day to stay the week of July 5-12.

June 27-July 3 Bonus Week at Telemark
Originally we had planned to go to Iowa this weekend for Ron’s mother’s family reunion and then return to Wisconsin staying at Wyndham’s Glacier Canyon at Wisconsin Dells with using Wyndham points. But the reunion date was changed, so we all elected not to go. That meant, that if we could get a bonus owners’ week at Telemark for $199 (if available at 3 weeks out) then we could cancel the Glacier Canyon and get the Wyndham points back to use elsewhere, which would be a savings in value. That is exactly what happened and we got in the villas, unit 104A a deluxe 1 bedroom that was wonderful.
