"What happened?"
Ron asked. "How is it we are flying during the Super Bowl?" Joan had “no idea.” Who thought of the Super Bowl when she got her
tickets months ago? We look mainly for
price and convenience for our friends to take us to the ATL airport.
Joan had already asked Alaska Airlines if
they would stream the game since Russell Wilson is Alaska’s personal symbol now
on their planes….but ... No.
So we thought of trying to stream the game
ourselves from NBC on the plane’s Wi-Fi but then decided not to spend the $$ or
take a chance of figuring out how to do it, since we hadn’t done it before.
Good thing.
Joan’s seatmate was an expert of using the Wi-Fi while flying and she
said you can’t stream live programs but only get websites, email, etc and as she and her husband were from New England!!!
(he had had Patriots season tickets for 35 years – You can bet he asked her
also, “Why are we on this plane tonight?”) so she was trying to get on the Webpage to
let him follow the game on their iPad and she couldn’t get on, even though
others were. In fact, all around us were
passengers with Seahawk shirts on – like us – except for them!
The pilot announced every score…and other passengers
started announcing their WiFi finds toward the end of the game.
We saw the highlights on TV when we got to
our condo. The [sad] highlights.
