Nooksack Falls on Mt Baker

For years we have heard about these falls but never seen them.  So we went to see them today– only 7 miles from the resort, on the way up the mountain.  Beautiful!

There is a lot of history about them which we had not known; they had been used for electricity for Bellingham for years.

And… they are very dangerous!  Note the warning signs, and see those families climbing the rocks…even with their little children.  Many have been killed while climbing down to get a better picture of the falls.  Not us!
