Why We’re Here in Seattle! (Grandchildren!)

 Clayton’s graduation!
As we have mentioned before, we wanted to be available and involved this year more in the grandchildren’s lives, so we have rented our son’s condo in Renton full time for a while so have slowed down our full-time timesharing.  And here's why: our oldest grandchild’s graduation!

Tuba tie!
Star Spangled Banner

Baccalaureate was Friday night.  Graduation was tonight.
Clayton played a tuba solo tonight, accompanying the choir singing the “Star Spangled Banner.”
Playing "Tubby the Tuba"

Last week was his last concert at Eastside Catholic School with his dad (our Andy) directing and his two sisters in the high school band too, Natalie, a sophomore this year, and Faith, a sixth grader (a special high school band member.)

The highlight for us was his solo “Tubby the Tuba” which is a children’s story with a narrator and lots of fun instrumental cues and solos.
